Лукашенко считает, что Путин был спровоцирован на нападение на Украину с белорусской территории.

Lukashenko believes that Putin was provoked into attacking Ukraine from Belarusian territory.

The self-proclaimed president of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, stated that the Russian dictator did not seek his permission to launch an attack on Ukraine from Belarus.

During an interview, Lukashenko was asked why he allowed the Kremlin to attack Ukraine, including from Belarusian territory, as reported by BBC.

"How do you know that I gave permission for the use of Belarusian territory?" he replied.

The Belarusian territory was used for the invasion.

"There were exercises taking place with several thousand Russian soldiers involved. Putin began withdrawing these troops from the area where they were located in southern Belarus, down the road along the border with Ukraine. At one point, he redirected some of these troops to Kyiv. I’m sure they were provoked. It’s up to Putin how he withdraws his troops. Through Kyiv, or he could have gone through Minsk," Lukashenko stated.

He was asked if he had called Putin at that time to clarify what was happening.

"No. He didn’t call me. And I didn’t call him. These are his troops, and he has the right to move them wherever he wants," Lukashenko said.

When questioned about whether Putin would be willing to use this weapon in the war against Ukraine, Lukashenko claimed that Putin supposedly would never use weapons stationed in Belarus without the Belarusian president's consent. However, he assured that he himself is fully prepared to allow the use of this nuclear weapon.

"I am fully prepared; otherwise, why would I have this weapon? But only if the boot of a single soldier steps on Belarusian territory. We do not plan to attack anyone," Lukashenko assured.
