"Russia's aggressive war against Ukraine affects Germany and India in numerous ways. No one can turn a blind eye to this conflict. Therefore, I strongly advocate for India to push for a long-lasting and just peace," stated Scholz.
According to him, Germany welcomes India's willingness to leverage its strong ties with all parties to contribute to a political resolution of the conflict. Berlin supports Ukraine's territorial integrity, reports Deutsche Welle.
"This war, which has been raging for so long and claiming so many lives, must finally come to an end. The integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine must be preserved. That is what we stand for," emphasized Scholz.
