According to him, since the beginning of the year, both state and private companies in Ukraine have produced 16.2 billion cubic meters of gas, which is 0.32 billion cubic meters more than during the same period in 2023.

"The overall result depends on all enterprises operating in the country. The companies of the Naftogaz group – Ukrgazvydobuvannia and Ukrnafta – are confidently continuing the trend of increasing production. We are also observing growth in production by independent enterprises in recent months," Petrenko noted.

Earlier, on November 7, the head of Naftogaz, Oleksiy Chernyshov, reported that Ukraine reached a daily natural gas production of 54 million cubic meters in November. At the beginning of October 2024, he mentioned that the group was producing 43–44 million cubic meters of gas daily, with a total daily production in Ukraine of 53 million cubic meters.
