JD Vance in Munich

Vance arrived in Munich with the American delegation. Journalists asked him whether he would discuss "peace or the surrender of Ukraine," but he did not respond.

First Statements from the Vice President of the USA

"The Trump administration is very concerned about the security situation in Europe. We believe that we can negotiate regarding Ukraine and Russia", he noted.

Vance emphasized that he is more worried about internal threats to Europe than external ones. He believes that Europe has strayed from its values.

"Europe must play a larger role in ensuring the security and protection of its continent. For years, we have been told that we sponsor the defense of democracy, but when we see European courts overturning election results and top officials threatening to annul others, we must ask ourselves — are we living up to our own high standards of democracy?" — stated the Vice President of the USA.

Vance also accused the conference organizers of excluding far-right and far-left parties from the event.

We remind you that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky noted that the upcoming meeting with Vance will be extremely important.

Additionally, President Donald Trump stated that he does not consider Vice President JD Vance to be his successor in the White House.
