The State Consumer Service has released a list of food products that Ukraine intends to export to Egypt.

Ukraine is considering the possibility of opening the Egyptian market for its dairy products, table eggs, fish products, pet food, livestock, processed beef products, and more, according to Sergey Tkachuk, the head of the State Service for Food Safety and Consumer Protection.

Ukraine is considering the possibility of opening the Egyptian market for its milk, table eggs, fish products, pet food, small cattle, and finished beef products, stated the head of the State Service for Food Safety and Consumer Protection (State Consumer Service), Sergey Tkachuk.

"Increasing trade turnover between the countries is one of the goals of my trip to Egypt as part of the Ukrainian delegation led by the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Vitaliy Kovalev," - he reported on his Facebook page.

According to Tkachuk, Ukraine is a significant supplier of grain crops to Egypt. In 2024, corn exports amounted to 3.332 million tons, wheat to 2.875 million tons, soybeans to 745 thousand tons, and barley to 16.1 thousand tons.

During the negotiations, Egypt discussed the possibility of importing fish and fish products to Ukraine, as well as expanding the list of fruits and vegetables.

"It is no secret that a quarter of the oranges currently sold in our markets and stores come from there. This will give Ukrainian consumers the opportunity to choose products," noted the head of the State Consumer Service.

As reported, the Ukrainian government delegation is visiting Egypt to discuss the potential establishment of a free trade zone with this country.
