The municipal enterprise "Kyivteploenergo" ("KTE") has prepared the heating networks and thermal sources for the heating season 2024-2025.

"The energy specialists of 'Kyivteploenergo' have inspected all heating networks, replaced the most worn-out sections, repaired and serviced the thermal source equipment, and prepared residential meters for winter, while restoring damaged equipment," - the company reported on its website on Wednesday.

Currently, "KTE" has managed to restore about 1,500 units of energy equipment that were damaged by missile strikes.

"Daily, energy workers are striving to recover more lost energy capacity and implement innovative solutions for diversifying electricity and heat supplies for the city," - the company noted.

As part of the winter preparation, "KTE" specialists tested 2,700 km of heating networks for hydraulic strength and tightness, eliminated 2,100 damages, replaced 55 km of problematic pipes, and prepared around 160 boiler houses and heat supply stations for operation, which collectively produce up to 50% of the heat for Kyiv. They also conducted diagnostics and repairs on 580 boilers.

Additionally, the city's energy workers have prepared 3,000 heating points under the company's management and repaired the equipment of 18 pumping stations that ensure the circulation of the heat carrier throughout the city's heating networks.

Moreover, specialists have calibrated over 2,300 and repaired about 1,000 residential meters, installing more than 170 new devices.

"All boiler houses with technical capabilities are equipped with generators. The number of mobile boiler houses has increased to 51. In case of emergencies, they will provide heat to critical facilities essential for the city's functioning," - informed "KTE".

Thirty-eight emergency crews are ready for the heating season, operating around the clock. In total, the enterprise has prepared 345 units of special equipment and vehicles for servicing the capital's thermal infrastructure.
