This was stated in a comment to Novini.LIVE by Rainer Perau, Chairman of the Board of the German-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
"Many German companies are planning to invest in Ukraine after the war concludes. One of the hot topics is investments in companies producing construction materials. Defense technologies, agriculture, and energy are attractive sectors for investments," said Perau.
According to him, Germany has been and continues to support Ukraine even during the war. In particular, this includes military support, the provision of equipment and resources, as well as significant budgetary assistance through the European Union. This is a crucial factor in ensuring stability during these challenging times.
However, the business community, particularly German companies, is also actively contributing to the recovery of Ukraine's economy through investments. Notably, one of the largest German players in the market, Knauf, has already announced large-scale investments in Ukraine this year.
"They plan to build a new factory in the Ternopil region, investing over 150 million euros. This will not only foster the development of the Ukrainian economy but also create new jobs, ensuring sustainable prospects for the future," concluded Rainer Perau.
It is worth noting that according to MP Olga Vasylevska-Smahlyuk, Ukraine should introduce the declaration for the National Agency for Prevention of Corruption (NAPC) for employees of territorial recruitment centers. She mentioned that such a step could reduce the level of bribery.
Additionally, according to the politician, the draft law on taxation of international parcels, initiated by MP Daniil Getmantsev, has not yet been submitted to the relevant committee. Its prospects remain uncertain.
