The IAEA continued monitoring at key substations essential for the operation of nuclear power plants.

On Tuesday, experts from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) continued their monitoring mission at the substations of the transmission system operator, NEC "Ukrenergo," which is crucial for the operation of Ukraine's nuclear power plants (NPPs).

Experts from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) continued their monitoring mission on Tuesday at the substations operated by the National Energy Company "Ukrenergo," which is crucial for the operation of Ukrainian nuclear power plants (NPPs).

"Just last week, the IAEA Board of Governors, during an extraordinary meeting initiated by Ukraine, adopted a Ukrainian resolution condemning the Russian attacks on the critical infrastructure necessary for the operation of NPPs. However, the enemy continues its aggression and relentlessly attacks, including substations that are vital for nuclear generation," stated Ukraine's Minister of Energy Herman Halushchenko, as quoted by his ministry on Tuesday.

He expressed gratitude to Rafael Grossi and the agency's experts for their effective cooperation and the decision to extend the mission.

The parties have agreed on a schedule for visits. The mission will continue to be conducted at specific sites in rotation.
