MHP has become the second company to export biomethane, joining the ranks of Global 100% RE Ukraine.

On February 11, a company within the MHP agroholding exported 27,400 cubic meters of biomethane, according to the Public Union Global 100% RE Ukraine. The chairman of this organization is Alexander Dombrovsky, the president of MHP Eco Energy.

The company, part of the MHP agroholding, exported 27.4 thousand cubic meters of biomethane on February 11, reported the Global 100% RE Ukraine public union, chaired by the president of MHP Eco Energy, Alexander Dombrovsky.

"The company, which is part of the international food and agro-technology company MHP, exported 27.4 thousand cubic meters of biomethane on February 11, becoming the second Ukrainian company to export biomethane," - the union stated on its Facebook page.

It was clarified that MHP exported biomethane through pipelines across the Ukrainian-Polish border to Germany. The buyer of the biomethane was the company Vitol.

According to EnergoReform, the division responsible for the development of biogas and biomethane directions in MHP is MHP VERDANT. Its CEO is Adomas Audickas.

As reported, the MHP biomethane plant "Orel-Leader" in the Dnipropetrovsk region recently connected to the grid, with a capacity of 11 million cubic meters per year.

The first batch of Ukrainian biomethane, totaling 67 thousand cubic meters, was exported on February 7 by the energy holding Vitagro, whose plant, with a capacity of 3 million cubic meters of biomethane per year, operates in the Khmelnytsky region. The export was also directed to Germany.

In an interview with "EnergoReform," the head of the renewable energy department at the GalS Agro holding, Oleg Ryabov, predicted that by the end of February this company might carry out its first biomethane export transaction. This is another one of the three biomethane producers connected to the grid, with a plant capacity of 3 million cubic meters of biomethane per year located in the Chernihiv region.

As recently forecasted in an interview with "EnergoReform" by the chairman of the Bioenergy Association of Ukraine, Georgiy Geletukha, soon 2 million cubic meters of biomethane may be injected into Ukraine's underground gas storage. According to him, the average price for exporting biomethane is 900 euros per thousand cubic meters.
