Novyny.LIVE asked people on the streets of Lviv if they are prepared for new lockdowns in the event of a pandemic.
Most respondents say that after the experience of the COVID-19 pandemic, the question of a new global threat and potential lockdowns is no longer so alarming. The respondents are confident that, in the context of war, Ukrainians are ready for anything.
"I think that today Ukrainians are ready for everything. A new lockdown won't surprise people anymore," says a young woman.
"I am prepared. I won't leave my house, but if they tell me to get vaccinated, I won't. I did it for COVID-19 before, but now I don’t want to," adds a Lviv resident.
"I am also ready for a possible lockdown, but in my opinion, this is an artificially created hype around the virus. I got vaccinated against COVID-19 before because it was compulsory," emphasizes another Lviv local.
"I don't think there will be a lockdown because there is currently a war in Ukraine, and the coronavirus has taken a back seat," says a young woman.
"If there is a lockdown, we are ready. We survived the coronavirus, and we will survive this virus too. If we need to stay home or get vaccinated, we will. Right now, I don’t see that necessity," notes a woman.
