The heating season in Ukraine is already underway, with social infrastructure facilities, primarily hospitals, schools, and kindergartens, being connected to the heating system, reported Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal during a government meeting on Tuesday.
According to him, specific dates for the heating supply are determined by weather conditions, based on which local authorities make their decisions.
The Prime Minister also clarified that all nine energy blocks of Ukrainian nuclear power plants are operational, covering the main generation needs, and Ukraine is acquiring new generating equipment.
Shmyhal noted that banks financing businesses under government energy programs have approved applications for 7.9 billion UAH, and have actually issued over 2 billion UAH in loans. For the population, loan approvals exceed 204 million UAH.
"We are doing everything to ensure that all Ukrainians have light and warmth at home during the winter, and that enterprises operate smoothly," the Prime Minister emphasized.
