This was stated by Petro Poroshenko in a video he published on Facebook on Wednesday, February 12.
The politician noted that he had all the information regarding the preparation of this "provocation".
"Just now, the National Security and Defense Council has indeed made an unconstitutional, politically motivated decision to impose sanctions against me, Petro Poroshenko, as the leader of the opposition and the fifth president, with completely illegal restrictions", he remarked.
He described this decision as a crime. The fifth president of Ukraine urged Zelensky to take responsibility for himself and "not shift everything onto his predecessor". He emphasized the need to preserve the state and unite around the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
He stated that he does not intend to give up the fight for a European democratic Ukraine. According to him, no one will force his team to change their position.
He announced that he will return from his foreign business trip in the coming days.
Recall that Forbes reported that the National Security and Defense Council imposed sanctions against Petro Poroshenko.
Earlier, the National Security and Defense Council imposed sanctions against Russia's "tanker fleet" and those who have stolen Ukrainian cultural treasures.
