Citizens of Ukraine who have reached the age of 60 have been granted the right to receive a pension starting from January 1, provided they have an insurance record of 32 years, as stated in Article 26 of the Law of Ukraine on "Mandatory Pension Insurance," adopted in 2003, with amendments made between 2004 and 2024.
If such an insurance record is lacking, individuals will be eligible for an age pension after reaching 63 years old from January 1, provided they have an insurance record of between 22 to 32 years, and upon reaching 65 years old, they will need an insurance record of between 15 to 22 years.
According to the law, if the necessary insurance record is not available by the time the age is reached, the age pension can only be granted after the individual has acquired the required insurance record by the time they reach the relevant age.
