Additionally, the new President of the United States, Donald Trump, promised to call Vladimir Putin "soon" after his inauguration. It is still unclear whether the leaders of the two countries have spoken yet. The Kremlin later reported that the President of Guinea-Bissau had called Putin.
Recall that Polish Minister Radoslaw Sikorski stated that Putin has changed since the time Trump first held the presidency. He advised the new U.S. administration to take this into account.
