As reported by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, during his meeting with President Vladimir Zelensky, Turkey has observed that the dictator is striving for a permanent ceasefire.
This was confirmed by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov during a meeting with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan in Istanbul, as reported by Haber 7.
"In addition to reviving the Black Sea grain corridor and demining, during our meeting with Mr. Putin and his delegation last night, we also noted that there are expectations regarding a prisoner exchange," he stated.
Turkey is closely monitoring the movements towards prisoner exchanges and will do everything possible to resolve issues through diplomatic means.
"Our desire is to initiate peace talks between the two countries as soon as possible and pave the way for a favorable outcome. We will continue to work tirelessly to achieve this goal. We emphasize that there are no winners in war, and there are no losers in peace. This war will inevitably come to an end, and our task is to conclude it without blood and tears," he explained.
