Putin has issued an ultimatum to Zelensky regarding the signing of a peace agreement.

The Russian dictator Vladimir Putin views the Ukrainian government as illegitimate, with the only exception being the Verkhovna Rada. Consequently, Russia is willing to engage in dialogue with Volodymyr Zelensky only if he participates in elections and gains legitimacy.
