The cash expenditures of the Ukrainian state budget in December 2024 reached a record 704.7 billion UAH, compared to 426.3 billion UAH in November, including the general fund – 491.9 billion UAH versus 340.2 billion UAH in November.
According to the Ministry of Finance, published on its website on Monday, compared to December 2023, state budget expenditures in December 2024 increased by 28.5%, including the general fund – by 23.7%.
The Ministry of Finance noted that in December, due to significant external assistance, the state budget revenues amounted to 470.4 billion UAH, compared to 302.6 billion UAH in November, with the general fund rising to 286 billion UAH from 220 billion UAH in November.
Overall, according to preliminary data from the Ministry of Finance, the state budget received 3 trillion 120.5 billion UAH in revenues for 2024, which is 448 billion UAH, or 16.8%, higher than the 2023 state budget figure.
For the general fund, revenue growth amounted to 513.9 billion UAH, or 30.9% – reaching 2 trillion 177 billion UAH, including international financial assistance in the form of grants totaling 453.6 billion UAH compared to 433.9 billion UAH in 2023.
Regarding state budget expenditures, in 2024, they increased by 464.5 billion UAH, or 11.6%, compared to 2023, reaching 4 trillion 479.3 billion UAH, including a 15% increase for the general fund, or 454.5 billion UAH, up to 3 trillion 488.8 billion UAH.
As reported, the state budget for 2025 has been approved with revenues of 2 trillion 327.1 billion UAH, including the general fund – 2 trillion 133.3 billion UAH (excluding grants and international assistance) and expenditures of 3 trillion 929.1 billion UAH, including the general fund – 3 trillion 591.6 billion UAH.
