It is known that 33 out of 72 Shahed drones were destroyed by air defense forces, 34 UAVs were lost due to localization, and one returned to Russia.
According to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the drones were shot down in Kyiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Khmelnytskyi, Vinnytsia, and Kherson regions.
Five hits were recorded in northern Chernihiv region, and in Kyiv region, the downed UAV fell onto a high-rise building, damaging the structure and two dozen vehicles.
In Telegram, the head of the Kyiv Military Administration, Timur Tkachенко added that debris from the enemy UAV hit a high-rise building in the Solomianskyi district.
According to the head of the Kyiv Military Administration, preliminary information indicates that there were no casualties.
Reports indicate damage to windows and six vehicles. Emergency services are working at the scene.
Earlier, it was reported that a Ukrainian dancer, winner of the show "Everybody Dance 6", choreographer, and artist died in the war on January 6.
The news of his death was shared on Instagram by his close friend, dancer and choreographer Halyna Pekha.
"On January 6, during a combat mission, my closest friend and colleague - Volodymyr Rakov - was killed," Pekha reported.
Volodymyr was only 30 years old.
Volodymyr Rakov defended Ukraine following the onset of the full-scale invasion in 2022.
