This was stated by people's deputy Elena Shulyak at the forum "Democratic Resilience of Ukraine During the War and the Recovery Period" on Tuesday, February 11.
The people's deputy noted that discussions about holding elections right now are inappropriate. Shulyak stated that conducting elections during wartime is not feasible primarily due to the military situation.
"Of course, every military personnel who wishes to should exercise their right not only to vote but also to be elected. Here, our society must support everyone who wants to run for office, whether in the parliamentary elections or at the local level. Many may wish to join various branches of government," said Shulyak.
We remind you that the head of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, also spoke at the forum regarding elections. He stated that political electoral processes in Ukraine are already underway, but the focus should now be on ending the war.
Additionally, Elena Shulyak shared during the forum about three priorities that Ukraine will face after the war concludes. These priorities involve recovery, displaced persons, and Euro-integration.
