In the Kurakhove direction, the enemy command is evidently planning to encircle Ukrainian forces around Kurakhove from the flanks.
A dangerous situation for the Armed Forces of Ukraine is also developing in the direction of Velyka Novosilka, known as the Vremivka direction. This was reported by military analyst and coordinator of the "Information Resistance" group, Konstantin Mashovets, in his Telegram channel.
"And although the enemy's efforts to flank our tactical group of forces directly in the area of Kurakhove village seem to be going, let's say, 'not quite according to their script,' on adjacent sections, the enemy has evidently managed to create a whole range of new threats," emphasized Konstantin Mashovets.
The military observer noted that, in particular, enemy forward units have succeeded in pushing Ukrainian troops from the northern bank of the Kurakhove reservoir.
Although the situation in this area could have been even worse, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, through timely localized counterattacks, have gained opportunities so that, despite the gradual withdrawal of Ukrainian Defense Forces from the northern bank of the reservoir, the defense of Kurakhove itself will be more effective for the Armed Forces.
The expert reminded that previously the enemy occupied Yekaterinivka, Yelyzavetivka, Ilinka, and apparently Romanivka, but even though our forward units have withdrawn from these settlements, the threat to the flanks of the Armed Forces formations remains.
