Chef Evgeny Klopotenko shared details about the changes coming to the Zhytniy Market in Kyiv. It is set to be transformed into a modern food hall with a capacity of 600 seats.

Zhytniy Market in Kyiv

The investment fund Inzhur is raising funds to acquire a building in the city and fully renovate it. There is already a preliminary restoration project:

The first floor will feature a food court and an event stage;
The second floor will host a traditional farmers' market;
The third floor will include a restaurant with a panoramic view of Podil, a fitness gym, and greenhouses.

Klopotenko emphasized the need to transform and maintain Zhytniy Market. According to him, it is a part of Kyiv's history and a significant symbol, which is why its preservation is crucial.

"We need to ensure that the market remains, that life continues. Right now, it symbolizes the struggle between the past and the future," Klopotenko added.
