Столтенберг отметил, что сейчас идеальное время для оказания давления на Россию.

Stoltenberg stated that now is the ideal time to exert pressure on Russia.

Norway's Finance Minister and former NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg noted that now is the ideal time to increase pressure on Russia. He stated that the occupiers have not accomplished their military objectives.

This was stated by Jens Stoltenberg on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, as reported by a Novini.LIVE correspondent on Sunday, February 16.

Pressure on Russia

Stoltenberg noted that the Russian economy is under pressure and combat losses are increasing.

The former NATO Secretary General pointed out that despite initial plans for a swift takeover of Ukraine, the war is now entering its fourth year.

"Russia planned to capture Kyiv in days and all of Ukraine in weeks. Now, in the fourth year of war, Donbas has still not been taken. The largest army in Europe has yet to capture Donbas," he emphasized.

Stoltenberg states that Russia is being drained by sanctions, combat losses, and an economic crisis. According to him, now is the best time to increase pressure.

Recall that Stoltenberg commented on the likely "gap" between the European Union and the United States.

He also warned against assumptions regarding the outcomes of negotiations, stressing that the situation on the battlefield plays a crucial role.
