The founder of the TAS Group, Sergey Tigipko, announced new business directions for the group: the acquisition of a seed plant and a grain elevator with a storage capacity of 40,000 tons, as well as the construction of factories for processing apples into concentrate and a railcar manufacturing plant.
"We are purchasing a seed plant and a grain elevator with a storage capacity of 40,000 tons. We are building a railcar manufacturing plant in Kovel for the European market. Additionally, we are constructing a factory from scratch to process apples into apple concentrate," said Sergey Tigipko at the 10th Kyiv International Economic Forum (KIEF).
The TAS Group was established in 1998. Its business interests span the financial sector (banking and insurance segments), pharmaceuticals, as well as industry, real estate, and venture projects.
TAS Agro, a member of the group, cultivates 83,000 hectares across Vinnytsia, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Chernihiv, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Kherson, and Dnipropetrovsk regions, growing soybeans, sunflowers, rapeseed, wheat, barley, and corn. Furthermore, the agribusiness holding is engaged in dairy cattle farming (up to 5,500 heads of cattle) and owns six elevators with a total storage capacity of 250,000 tons.
