This was stated during a press conference with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the White House in Washington, as reported by "Voice of America".
"If I could help, I would gladly do it, because this needs to be stopped. When I left four years ago, we had none of this, we didn't have the disaster of October 7 in Israel. Iran was not planning to do anything. They were completely devastated. They had no money for Hamas or Hezbollah. And now I’m coming back, and the whole world is on fire. So I have to put out all the fires, but after I extinguish the fires, I will meet with China, and I will meet with Russia, and we will see if we can de-escalate this. We can reduce this in the military sphere, especially regarding nuclear weapons," said Donald Trump.
At the same time, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that his country does not take a neutral stance on ending the war.
"I have visited both countries. Many people are mistaken and believe that India is neutral. I would like to clarify: India is not neutral. We have taken the side of peace. This is not an era of war. Solutions cannot be found on the battlefield. Ultimately, it is necessary to sit at the negotiating table, and India has consistently made efforts for negotiations to take place where both sides are present. I support and welcome President Trump's efforts, and I hope he succeeds as soon as possible," he responded.
Recall that Donald Trump announced a trilateral meeting between the USA, Russia, and Ukraine in Saudi Arabia.
It has also become known that the USA will increase arms supplies to India and may impose new sanctions and even military force against Russia.
