This year, Ukraine aims to secure $2.7 billion from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), reported Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.
"This week, an IMF mission is set to commence for the seventh review of the joint EFF program (...) Cooperation with the Fund is a crucial factor for our financial stability. The government is systematically working in this direction. We plan to attract $2.7 billion from the IMF in 2025," he wrote on his Telegram channel on Tuesday.
Shmyhal mentioned that he discussed the details of further cooperation with the head of the Fund's European Department, Alfred Kammer.
"I expressed gratitude for the work done on the six reviews, which allowed us to secure $9.8 billion for Ukraine. Since the onset of the full-scale war, the International Monetary Fund has provided Ukraine with over $12.4 billion," he noted.
