The World Economic Forum kicked off in Davos, Switzerland, on January 20, with the theme "Collaboration for the Intellectual Era." As part of this event, the annual Ukrainian Breakfast took place on Thursday, January 23, continuing a tradition that began in 2005.

Ukrainian Breakfast in Davos 2025

As is well known, the Ukrainian Breakfast in Davos is a traditional event held during the World Economic Forum. This meeting focused on an urgent perspective on what will change the global order and highlighted Ukraine's crucial role at this moment.

Notably, the following individuals participated in the Ukrainian Breakfast:

  • NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte;
  • President of Poland Andrzej Duda;
  • President of Latvia Edgars Rinkēvičs;
  • President of Finland Alexander Stubb;
  • Prime Minister of Belgium Alexander De Croo;
  • Prime Minister of Croatia Andrej Plenković.

Additionally, a Ukrainian military service member attended the event and shared words that have become significant for every Ukrainian.

A minute of silence was also observed at the Ukrainian Breakfast in Davos to honor the fallen defenders of Ukraine.

It’s worth noting that this event has been held annually in Davos since 2005. Its primary goal is to bring Ukraine into the international agenda and unite Ukrainian and international leaders.

The main organizer of the Ukrainian Breakfast in Davos is the Victor Pinchuk Foundation.

Recall that during the Ukrainian Breakfast, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stated, what will happen to the Alliance if Ukraine loses the war.

A U.S. senator also spoke there, asserting that NATO members must fulfill the contributions they promised so that the war in Ukraine can end as swiftly as possible.
