This was reported by the Chairman of the City Defense Council Alexander Vilkul during the Vechir.LIVE broadcast on Friday, January 17.
As Vilkul noted, during the shelling of the city, a 20-year-old student, his grandmother, and two other women were killed. Currently, 14 people are known to be injured.
"There were two enemy strikes using ballistic missiles, 'Iskanders.' One strike hit the main building of the aviation technical college, where children usually study. Their ages range from 16 to 18 years. Thankfully, there were no children in class at the time. There were no injuries there. Another ballistic missile struck a densely populated area near two five-story buildings," Vilkul said.
Three of the injured are currently in serious condition, and two are in extremely critical condition. Among the injured are four children, one of whom has been hospitalized.
Utility services are currently working on-site, providing necessary assistance to the victims, and damaged windows and roofs are being covered with boards and plastic. The city promises to support the families affected by the attack.
We remind you that due to the attack on Kryvyi Rih, four people lost their lives, including Igor's second wife. The man's first wife died in occupied Kherson, and now he has lost his second loved one.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reacted to the shelling of Kryvyi Rih in the Dnipropetrovsk region. The head of state called it a terrorist strike.
