This was reported by the representative of the State Emergency Service of Kyiv, Pavel Petrov, to Novini.LIVE.
Rescuers are continuing to address the aftermath of the attack. According to Pavel Petrov, the representative of the State Emergency Service of Kyiv, debris such as glass and drywall is being cleared in the affected areas to prevent injuries to residents.
"In the Svyatoshyn district, debris hit the roof of a high-rise building, causing a small fire of about 1 square meter. It was extinguished by rescuers using a fire extinguisher. In the Holosiivskyi district, a fire in a warehouse building has been extinguished. Rescuers have completely finished their work there," said Pavel Petrov.
The most severe situation is currently in the Obolon district. Specifically, as a result of the attack, one man was killed and four others were injured.
"A deceased person was found, and four individuals were injured, including one child who is currently hospitalized. There are three units of equipment and about 20 rescuers on-site. They are using special equipment to cut away dangerous structures that could harm the utility services that need to begin their work. There are no debris, but due to the proximity of the shell impact to the buildings, there is damage on almost every floor. We are checking each floor," explained the representative of the State Emergency Service of Kyiv.
Recall that Russia launched a rocket ballistic strike on Kyiv in the early hours of February 12. Significant destruction was recorded in several areas, and a video of the moment the shells hit the capital has emerged online.
