Among the first high-ranking officials to arrive at the Capitol Rotunda was the Chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General C. Q. Brown — he is on the platform where Trump will take the oath.

Also present were current and former leaders of the House of Representatives and the Senate, including former Republican leader Mitch McConnell and his wife, as well as former Trump cabinet member Elaine Chao. Former House Speakers Kevin McCarthy, John Boehner, and Newt Gingrich have already taken their seats.
