In the heart of the capital, relatives and concerned citizens gathered to show support for the imprisoned defenders, particularly from the 36th Marine Brigade.
This brigade, along with fighters from the Azov Regiment, defended Azovstal during the intense battles for Mariupol. Following orders, they surrendered in May 2022.
One participant of the rally shared that he spent 920 days in Russian captivity.
"It’s real hell there," said the defender.
Let us remind you that on January 5, the first rally of the year in support of prisoners of war and those missing was held in Kyiv. People took to the streets to remind the world about the fighters held by Russia.
