Военный эксперт поделилась мнением о главной ценности, которую имеет человек на войне.

A soldier shared insights on the most important value in wartime.

Irina Kovalchuk, a military specialist in unmanned systems for the Ukrainian Armed Forces and costume designer for the film "Konotopska Witch," shared with Novini.LIVE how she balances her demanding job with her cherished hobby. She also offered advice to men who have not yet stepped up to defend their country.

Irina designed costumes for the Ukrainian film "Kонотопская ведьма" while traveling, or even directly from the frontlines via video calls. Her team and assistants helped by fitting the costumes on the actors, often amidst the sounds of explosions coming from Irina's side.

"Only the dead don't react to the stress and explosions of war. My creativity and my beloved man, who is with me there, along with our two dogs that travel with us and lift our spirits, are what save me. And, of course, having a competent commander is crucial. Additionally, my hobby and my outlet keep my mind sane. It's what I love to do and helps me stay grounded,” Irina shared.

According to her, everyone struggles during war, regardless of gender. However, the camaraderie and sisterhood present there form a strong community.

"Money holds no value there; what matters is whether I can trust you with my life. That’s how a person is evaluated at the front. If you can trust someone with your life, you can essentially trust them with everything. Women may be more emotional, but that's because they express their feelings. Men tend to keep their emotions inside. But ultimately, this isn't about gender; it’s about the individual's temperament and character,” she added.

When asked by the journalist how to motivate more men to defend their country, Irina responded as follows.

"When we find trophy uniforms, there are documents in the pockets, for instance, from the so-called 'DNR' or 'LNR'. What I'm saying is, if you don’t fight for your country, you will have to fight for someone else's. That’s the whole motivation,” she concluded.

Let us remind you that at the border with Poland, Ukrainian border guards detained three counterfeit pairs. This is how men attempt to escape abroad.

Additionally, Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyy expressed his opinion on lowering the conscription age. He stated that it is essential to properly train those liable for military service regardless.
