Залужный намекнул на сложные отношения с Офисом Президента.

Zaluzhny hinted at strained relations with the President's Office.

Former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, released a book in December 2024, which is part of the trilogy titled "My War." In this work, he shares insights about himself and recounts episodes from the full-scale war. In one section, Valerii Zaluzhnyi highlights the complex relationship he has with the Office of the President of Ukraine.

This is reported by "Ukrainian Truth".

How the Office of the President of Ukraine Controlled Zaluzhny's Actions

In his authored book, Valeriy Zaluzhny pointed out how the President's Office closely monitored his actions and even his media interviews. He recalled a situation in August 2023 when he was supposed to meet with children and mentors from the National Library of Ukraine. The meeting had been scheduled back in spring, in May 2023, and the children were to present the general with a vyshyvanka they made themselves. Valeriy Zaluzhny mentioned in his memoirs that the staff of the President's Office reproached him for frequently interacting with the children.

Zaluzhny also described a situation in the book where the head of one of the structures of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported to the commander-in-chief that one of the groups had not returned from a mission.

In the preface to this story, the former commander-in-chief noted the detail that when his interlocutor was appointed to the position, he sensed tension.

My personal relations with the country's leadership worsened day by day. His appointment, made without considering my opinion and that of the General Staff, to put it mildly, did not bode well for our leadership," Zaluzhny described his impressions in the book.

It is likely that the situation described regarding the group's failure to return from the mission referred to the commander of the Special Operations Forces in 2022–2023, Viktor Khorenko.

In the annotation of the book "My War," Valeriy Zaluzhny noted that the next books in the trilogy will be titled "Our War" and "Their War." It is still unknown when they will be released.

Recall that MP Mariyana Bezyuhla stated in an interview with "Ukrainian Truth" that Valeriy Zaluzhny did not visit the front in the first year of the full-scale invasion.

Recently, Valeriy Zaluzhny met in Kyiv with British Defense Minister Keir Starmer.
