This was stated by Zelensky at the Strategic Investment panel: The Future of U.S. — Ukraine Security Cooperation.
"Putin is a liar. We had a conversation about a complete ceasefire with Putin and a prisoner exchange, but he did not exchange the prisoners," Zelensky explained.
The head of state clarified that he was referring to his trip to France in 2019 when he had a conversation with the Russian dictator. That is why in response to Trump's statement that Putin wants peace, Zelensky said he was lying.
The president also added that he does not want to be the person who helped the Russian dictator conquer his country.
We remind you that Zelensky stated that a peace agreement cannot be signed in Munich. He emphasized that he would not repeat the past mistake.
Zelensky also noted the importance of the upcoming meeting with U.S. Vice President JD Vance.
