According to Zelensky, Russia plans to form 15 divisions, which is equivalent to 100-150 thousand troops that could be utilized not only to intensify military actions in Ukraine but also to launch attacks on European Union countries.
"Do you know what is happening in Belarus? This year, the Russian Federation will prepare 15 divisions for training and to escalate the situation in the Belarusian direction, and we believe that they will all be on Belarusian territory, or partially. This will amount to 100-150 thousand people. It’s a large grouping. And I’m not sure that this grouping will go to Ukraine. I'm telling you honestly. It could go either to Ukraine or to Poland, or to the Baltics," Zelensky stated.
Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine needs security guarantees from NATO.
"We need security guarantees. Yes, we want to join NATO, but I do not want to leave Ukrainians without security guarantees. Our army is one and a half to two times larger, with full understanding at 100%," the president asserted.
We remind you that German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius stated that the Kremlin poses a threat to the country.
Meanwhile, a U.S. official, despite recent statements by Donald Trump and Mark Rutte, asserted that Ukraine has a chance to join NATO.
