Actress Daria Legeida has decided to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The actress's husband, Dmitry Sova, announced her desire. Previously, she aimed to become a combat medic, but due to knee issues, she was unable to perform the demanding tasks required for saving soldiers. Now, the actress has chosen to become a drone operator.

"She is currently considering where she can train to become a UAV operator. She already understands that if she cannot physically handle it due to her joints, she still wants to contribute in this way. I said, 'Alright, let's do it. If you want, I’ll help you find a unit.' There are units that are open to women, but gradually," — said Sova.

Dmitry Sova supports his wife and believes she will succeed. However, they are currently in the planning phase.

"When I spoke with a lady who was training us, she said, 'Yes, men fly really well, but there are some women, although few, who... are snipers and UAV operators. If she takes this on, she will do it exceptionally well,'" — added Dmitry.

For now, the actress is engaged in volunteer work — organizing charitable fundraisers. Daria and Dmitry have been married for three years.
