Шмыгаль провел первое в этом году заседание Управляющего комитета Украинской платформы доноров.

Shmyhal held the first meeting of the year for the Donor Platform's Governing Committee in Ukraine.

Under the chairmanship of Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, the first meeting of the Donor Platform Management Committee for 2025 was held.

The first meeting of the Donor Platform Managing Committee of Ukraine in 2025 was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

"We have fully addressed the budget needs for 2024, which amounted to $41.6 billion. We clearly understand how we will cover the needs for 2025, which total $39.3 billion," - wrote Shmyhal in his Telegram channel following the meeting.

He emphasized that alongside budgetary issues, the focus remains on recovery. Ukraine is actively implementing reforms in public investment management. In 2024, the Strategic Investment Council was established, which approved a Unified Public Investment Portfolio consisting of 787 projects, 92 of which have been selected for 2025.

The Strategic Investment Council also confirmed the priority areas for recovery, which helped us define investment priorities for 2025. These include the social sector, with a focus on housing recovery, education and science, healthcare, particularly regarding shelters in schools, hospitals, etc. This also encompasses social protection and livelihoods for Ukrainians. Additionally, the council identified infrastructure recovery (energy, including the protection of energy facilities, transportation, water supply, and drainage) and cross-sectoral areas such as demining, emergency response, and civil protection, including large shelters following the "Finnish model."

"One of our priorities remains support for the private sector. We are investing in the development of small and medium-sized businesses. We are counting on financial assistance from our partners to strengthen relevant government programs. All these measures will create safe conditions, new jobs, and contribute to economic development, which will be an important prerequisite for the return of Ukrainians," - emphasized Shmyhal.
