The defense of Velyka Novosilka in the Donetsk region, located near the borders with Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia, is approaching its logical conclusion.

This was reported by military analyst, coordinator of the "Information Resistance" group, and retired Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Konstantin Mashovets, on his Telegram channel.

The military expert stated that the Russian occupation forces, through advanced units of the 127th Motorized Rifle Division of the 5th Combined Arms Army, have managed to capture the villages of Neskuchne and Vremivka. As a result, with Velyka Novosilka now under almost a three-sided encirclement, its further defense by the Ukrainian Armed Forces is nearly impossible.

According to the expert, the main issue at this point is that even if the Ukrainian command decides to withdraw from Velyka Novosilka, executing this successfully will clearly be very challenging.

Earlier, Major Ivan Sekach, head of the communications division of the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after General Horunzhy Marko Bezruchko, mentioned that in the area around Velyka Novosilka, the Russian occupiers hold a significant numerical advantage.

"If we draw a football analogy, where it's 11 against 11, here it’s 33 against 11 in favor of the enemy," the officer stated.

Ivan Sekach added that the adversary employs the same tactic: they rush in small groups of 4-5 individuals, hide in houses and basements, and then launch an active assault.
