The situation in the Kursk direction remains extremely challenging for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as the Russian occupying forces are applying significant pressure.

This was stated by military expert, retired Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Sergey Grabsky, during an interview with NTA.

"However, it is important to understand that the task is not to hold the territory of the Kursk region but to inflict maximum damage on the enemy. Therefore, I want to warn against any treachery; if we maneuver and withdraw from that territory, there is no problem with that, as withdrawal is just as much a maneuver as an advance, encirclement, or flanking, as outlined in military regulations," – said Sergey Grabsky.

Moreover, the military expert emphasized that withdrawal is the most complex maneuver, which requires extensive training.

"Therefore, the fighting continues, and our task remains unchanged: within the framework of the strategic defense concept, we aim to inflict maximum damage on the enemy at positions where he can be stopped, and even while withdrawing from certain positions, we must do everything possible to make further actions by the enemy impossible," - explained Sergey Grabsky.

According to the expert, from a military perspective, there are no North Korean troops fighting against Ukraine; these are all North Korean citizens integrated into the combat formations of the Russian forces. They all operate under a unified algorithm, so their numbers should be the only consideration.
