Зеленский сообщил о текущих самых сложных условиях на фронте.

На востоке Украины в настоящее время наблюдается крайне сложная обстановка на фронте. Российские войска обладают численным преимуществом, однако также сталкиваются с значительными потерями.

This was stated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky during an interview with Polish journalists on Thursday, January 16.

What's Happening on the Front

The head of state noted that the Russians have brought destruction to Ukraine, but the country has been preserved, in part due to the assistance from Poland. Currently, the eastern front of Ukraine is facing the most difficult situation. In combat conditions, circumstances can change rapidly.

"There are moments when the initiative shifts from one side to another. There are villages that change hands between us and the enemy. This happens. The situation is most challenging in the east, where there is a high concentration of Russian troops and equipment, and we currently have fewer forces there, but they are suffering heavy losses," Zelensky remarked.

He also added that thanks to technological advancements, such as drones and electronic warfare, the enemy is being held back. However, he emphasized that assistance is still lacking. Zelensky is convinced that the main issue is not the shortage of personnel, but rather the lack of equipment and resources.

As a reminder, President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that currently about 34% of the weapons used by defenders on the front are produced in Ukraine. Production capacities have been significantly increased and will continue to grow.

The President of Ukraine also reported that the Ukrainian army currently consists of 880,000 fighters. Meanwhile, the enemy has over 600,000 troops on Ukrainian territory.
