This was announced by MP Elena Shulyak at the forum "Democratic Resilience of Ukraine during the War and the Recovery Period" on Tuesday, February 11.
The MP noted that discussions about holding elections at this time are inappropriate. Shulyak stated that it is impossible to conduct elections during the war primarily due to military concerns.
"Of course, every serviceman who wishes to should be able to exercise their right not just to vote, but also to be elected. Here, our society must support all those who want to run for office, whether in the national parliament or at the local level. Many may wish to engage in various branches of government," Shulyak stated.
Let us remind you that Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko also spoke at the forum about elections. He stated that political electoral processes in Ukraine are already underway, but the focus now should be on ending the war.
Additionally, during the forum, Elena Shulyak discussed three priorities that will face Ukraine after the war concludes. These priorities include recovery, displaced persons, and Eurointegration.
