This is reported by "Ukrainian Truth".

How the Office of the President of Ukraine Monitored Zaluzhny's Actions

In his authored book, Valeriy Zaluzhny pointed out how the Office of the President closely monitored his actions and even his media interviews. He recalled an incident in August 2023 when he was supposed to meet with children and mentors from the National Library of Ukraine. The meeting had been scheduled back in the spring, in May 2023, and the children were set to present the general with a handmade vyshyvanka. Zaluzhny noted in his memoirs that officials from the President's Office criticized him for frequently interacting with the children.

Zaluzhny also recounted an incident in the book where a leader from one of the structures of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported to the Commander-in-Chief that one of the groups had not returned from a mission.

In the preface to this story, the former Commander-in-Chief highlighted the detail that when his interlocutor was appointed to the position, he sensed tension.

My personal relations with the country's leadership became more strained with each passing day. His appointment, made without considering my opinion or that of the General Staff, to put it mildly, foreshadowed nothing good for our leadership," Zaluzhny reflected in his book.

It is likely that the situation regarding the group’s failure to return from the mission referred to the commander of the Special Operations Forces in 2022–2023, Viktor Khorenko.

In the synopsis of the book "My War," Valeriy Zaluzhny mentioned that the next installments of the trilogy will be titled "Our War" and "Their War." It remains unknown when they will be released.

Recall that MP Marianna Bezuhla stated in an interview with "Ukrainian Truth" that Valeriy Zaluzhny did not visit the front during the first year of the full-scale invasion.

Recently, Valeriy Zaluzhny met in Kyiv with British Defense Minister Keir Starmer.
